Pet Peeves (II)
Last time...
Goku, Chi-Chi, me, and Ami griped about the state of writing skills over the Internet and I asked them if they'd let Gohan have any other pets or even have give their boys some new brothers/sisters.
Star Otaku is sitting in front of the computer as usual. She's checking her e-mails.
Star Otaku: Spam. Spam. Spam. Oh! It's here! They're finally here!
Star Otaku reaches into her lunch bag and pulls out two packages.
Star Otaku: *happily* They're here! They're here! They're here! I got Anime Kitties!
Star Otaku puts down the parcels and unwraps them. Out hop two anime kitties. The two kitties excitedly get up and start to scamper around Star Otaku's feet.
The Goku kitty jumps up and perches on Star Otaku's head while the Chi-Chi kitty sits on Star Otaku's lap. They look at each other nervously.
Star Otaku: This is so cool! I gotta get my favourite couple over here in a jiffy!
She begins to type rapidly and our favourite Saiyan and human couple appears behind her.
Goku: Hiya Star!
Chi-Chi: What questions do we have to answer today?
Star Otaku: No questions to answer. Just a surprise. Meet the new additions to Pluto. The anime kitties.
Goku and Chi-Chi look at the little cats perched on her body.
Goku: They seem pretty scared.
Chi-Chi: Not exactly scared. More like nervous. Especially of each other.
Star Otaku: I have no idea why they look so worried. Maybe they're just shy. Or they're just intimidated by the fact that they've been stuck inside a cramped package and suddenly find themselves in a strange new place.
Goku: That could that it.
The couple looks nervously at the animals that bear so much resemblance to them.
Star Otaku: Don't worry about them. They're pretty tame. I got a guarantee from the adoption centre. Come on, hold them!
Chi-Chi picks up the Goku kitty and Goku picks up the Chi-Chi kitty. They sit beside each other on the ground and begin pet and play with the kittens. Both kitties seem comfortable in the couple's arms.
Chi-Chi: This little fella is adorable! And he's like a bundle of energy.
Goku: She's quite feisty! As perky as they come.
Chi-Chi: Think that they'll make a litter of new kittens?
Goku: Especially some Gohan and Goten kittens?
Star Otaku: I don't know. Maybe they will. Depends when they'll get over their shyness and finally get to know each other better.
Goku and Chi-Chi switch cats and start to play with the ones that resemble them.
Goku: He's just like me!
Chi-Chi: He's quite cute, but not as cute as you.
Goku: And that Chi-Chi kitty is so much like you, though not as pretty as you.
Chi-Chi: How sweet of you.
Chi-Chi leans over to kiss Goku on the cheek. The two kitties in their laps look up and start to imitate their namesakes. The Chi-Chi kitty crawls over to the Goku kitty and licks his cheek.
Star Otaku: Aw... They think they're people.
Chi-Chi: I guess they're getting over their shyness. I guess that means we should be leaving.
Goku: Please! Let's not go yet, Chi-Chi. Can't we stay a little longer and play?
Chi-Chi: I don't know. Ask Star Otaku yourself.
Goku: Can we stay a little longer? Please?
Star Otaku: Okay, I can't ignore those puppy-dog eyes of yours.
The two anime kitties perk up at the mention of "dog" and begin to run around.
Goku: Oops, I guess you shouldn't have said the word dog.
Chi-Chi: Or puppy.
Star Otaku: Since you two want to play, I guess now's the perfect opportunity. Go on. Try to catch them!
Goku and Chi-Chi smile each other and run after the scampering kittens.
