Pet Peeves
Last time...
All my friends helped me celebrate my birthday!
Star Otaku is sitting in front of the computer as usual. She's checking her e-mails.
Star Otaku: Spam. Spam. Spam. Oh! Question!
Star Otaku clicks on the message, which reads:
From [email protected]
hey ask Goku and Chi chi if they would let Gohan have a pet(not counting the
dragon)what would it be
Ami is peeking over Star Otaku's shoulder.
Ami: Good God! What awful grammar and spelling!
Star Otaku: I know. Oh well. What are you going to do? Cry about it?
Ami: Stop with the snappy comments. Just do some conjuring.
Star Otaku: *mutters* Yeah, yeah.
Star Otaku rapidly starts to type away on the keyboard, and in a puff of smoke, Goku and Chi-Chi appear in a puff of smoke.
Chi-Chi: I'm not surprised anymore.
Goku: Each time is always fun! I smell fruit every time we get here.
Star Otaku: Aw... Just my way of making the trip a little more bearable.
Ami: *ahem* The question? Ask them the question!
Star Otaku: Yeah, okay. Here, read it yourselves.
Star Otaku reaches into her lunch bag and takes out a piece of paper. She hands it off to Chi-Chi, who scans the page.
Chi-Chi: Horrible, horrible writing skills. What I would give to set that girl straight.
Goku: Ah... Chi-Chi, I don't think that would be a good idea. Leave it alone.
Chi-Chi: Continuing... In answering her question, I would let Gohan have a pet. Just as long as it doesn't distract him from his studies. He needs something that'll teach him responsibility and time management. Maybe a dog? No, too messy. Or a cat! They don't shed and keep to themselves. Wait a minute. They'll tear up the furniture. A fish. I would let Gohan have a nice little gold fish to take care of for a pet.
Goku: Um... My answer isn't as long as Chi-Chi's, but I would let Gohan have any pet he wants. Just as long as it doesn't upset his mother.
Star Otaku: Okay, I'll see if that satisfies- Wait. I got another e-mail from her again.
Chi-Chi and Ami: Please! No more bad spelling!
Goku: Yeah, that first letter was even worse than when I tried to write!
Ami: Damn you Internet! You have reduced the public's grammatical skills to nothing more than that of a three-year-old's!
Star Otaku: The Internet is a mixed blessing. Now, will you two please answer the question? I want to get this over with, and I know how busy you two are.
Goku: Yup! Busy with training!
Chi-Chi: And busy cooking for him when he's done training. Not to mention the fact that I have to clean up the dirt he tracks into the house, and draw his bath, and then-
Goku: Chi-Chi! Don't embarrass me!
Ami: *ahem* Moving on to the new e-mail. Does it have any bad grammar?
Star Otaku: Thank goodness, no. It's a video question.
Ami: I'm out of here. *leaves*
Chi-Chi and Goku look over Star Otaku's shoulders to see the new video. Star Otaku clicks on it, and the image of Kim Cress (author of Misty, a New Saiyan) appears.
Kim Cress: Hey Goku! Hi Chi-Chi! OK, here is a question: would you two want to have any more kids? Okay, gotta go, bye!
Goku and Chi-Chi shudder.
Star Otaku: So what do you say? More kids, more little demi-Saiyans, more tails to cut off?
Chi-Chi: *nervously* Well... As much as I would like more children, it's just that... They're a little bit hard to raise.
Goku: And I'm not really experienced in the fatherhood area. I mean, Gohan practically raised himself, and Goten didn't really have me around to look up to.
Chi-Chi: But, if we do have more kids, I wouldn't mind. They may be a handful, but I'd be happy to have them around to keep me company. Just as long as they don't pick up on their father's bad habits.
Goku: And if some more little bundles of joy show up, then I wouldn't mind at all! It'll be so much fun! We can train together and play together and have family picnics! And if it's a girl, Goten and Gohan can take care of their own little sister. You've always wanted a girl, right Chi-Chi?
Chi-Chi: A girl would be nice, but I'm happy with my boys.
Star Otaku: So the answer would be on the fence. You're okay with not having any more children, but you'd still like to have some. And you'll still be happy either way.
Goku and Chi-Chi nod their heads.
Star Otaku: Well, I guess that answers your question.
Goku: So I guess we'll see each other next time you have something to share with us.
Chi-Chi: Or when someone wants to ask us a question.
Star Otaku: Oh yeah. See you guys later.
