Living Without You

Warnings: Okie Dokie, we have arrived in the romance part of this, you are warned.  But this is hardly a citrus.  I would doubt anyone would say so.

Setting: Part three now.  Goku has said all his goodbye(s) and made his decision to be with Chi Chi rather than live without her.

Disclaimer: See first part.

And now to continue…

As the moon rose high in the sky on earth, the green and blue aura that had filled the sky for hours finally ceased to brighten the sunset.

Goten went to bed early that night, thinking.  He considered his father’s decision, and at first thought his father had done it foolishly out of panic of isolation.  But he decided his father had made a well thought decision after taking in his words and stories.  It felt strange to be alone in the house with no snoring, except himself.

But he rested well that night, knowing his father was happy now, and would be forever watching over him.  It made him feel a weird kind of safe.  But he knew everything was the way it was meant.  He knew that his Mom would also be happy.  He had known that if his Dad had been that depressed his Mom must have been acting the same way in her predicament.  He smiled as he slept.

Vegeta had a hard time getting to sleep.  He couldn’t believe he would never fight Goku again.  But he understood his decision entirely.  He was actually surprised that Chi Chi had passed away before Bulma.  Even if Bulma could scare him out of his pants anytime, Kakarote’s mate scared him more.

She held up such a rough spirit down to her last day that it was kind of scary that someone that strong could pass away so lightly.  It made him worry about Bulma.  But he knew deep down Bulma was fine.

He was just satisfied that he got in a nice hit before Goku could leave.  That was how he would remember Goku, and when he would meet him again, he promised himself to say "I always get the last hit."  As his well thought out hello.

Goku walked around a little confused.  Usually there were many Oni in line to get check in (even though he would cut in line any way).  But he walked straight to the check in station and did his intro.

"Goku, why are you here so early?  Weren’t you healthy?" King Yamah asked him.

"I came to be with my wife," Goku said with a wave and a smile.

King Yamah smiled.  "You always were a good man Goku," he said as Goku teleported.

He had a little difficulty tracking her so when he arrived at wherever he was he knew he had sort of lost concentration a bit.  But he knew she was nearby.  He looked a little dazed.

There were flowers everywhere, EVERYWHERE!!!!  Only a few patches of grass.  There were also girls everywhere also, carrying on their girl talk.  "Great, this won’t be as easy as I thought," he mentioned, shaking his head, realizing where he was.

There were a few sections of heaven.  One was mainly anybody who felt like being alone in peace.  Another was all recreation, games, shopping type stuff to keep people happy.  Then there was a place were anyone could go, mainly to meet others of the opposite sex.  Then last but not least there was a female section and a male section.  Where that gender could go to escape getting hit on and be with their own kind in peace.

"Great, not only am I in the 'ladies room', I’m also not allowed here."  Goku sighed starting to look around.  He noticed how weird it felt surrounded by pink and blue flowers, it made him shudder.  "Flowers, figures." he said with a giggle as he remembered how women were.  Always wanting to pick flowers in the garden.

The nearest group of chatting girls noticed him and fell silent as he walked by.  They soon cut off his path.

"Hey, looky here girls, a guy in the girls room," the tallest one of them said with attitude.

"Should we tell on him?"

"I would normally, but he’s kind of cute."

"Hey Mister, who are you and what’s your game?  Feel like playing with some real ladies?" the happy blonde one asked.

"My name is Goku, and I-"

"Oh!  You’re the one who saved the earth!?"

"Wow!  The messenger told us the news the day it happened!  You’re a hero!"  They all chanted jumping up and down and giggling.

"Yeah… uh, that’s me, but I really have to go now," he said with a polite smile, pushing one of them lightly out of his way.

"OOO!!  He touched me!!!  Wow!  I’ll never wash my shoulder again!"  She giggled.  He rolled his eyes.

One of the girls ran in front of him once again.  "Won’t you go out with me?!" she asked, batting her eyelashes.

"I’m sorry miss, but I’m here looking for my wife," he said politely once again.

"UGH!!!  The good ones are always married!!!"  All of the girls agreed.

"Well that stinks.  Any way, well who is she?  Maybe we can help you out," she said trying to regain her composure.

"Chi Chi," he stated.

"CHI CHI!!!?  You’re her husband!!??" they all yelled.

He nodded.

"My god, I know she said you were good looking, but, damn!  She wasn’t kidding!" the tall girl blurted.  "She’ll be so happy to see you, she’s been so depressed up here.  She hardly says anything unless it’s about you and all her old life.  We all felt really bad for her."

"Really?  Were is she?" Goku asked, looking around.  He already had some onlookers, but none looked like Chi Chi.

"My goodness, I haven’t seen her today, but she usually hangs out over there," the blonde said pointing in the direction of a solitude grassy field with wild flowers.  "She’ll be so happy to see you!" they happily said.  "Nice meeting you." They all said, waving goodbye and giving him a push in the right direction.

Many girls watched him out of the corner of their eyes but continued talking, reminding themselves he was married.

He walked through the grass… and flowers.  He sighed again.  "I’ve never seen so many flowers in my life," he mumbled.

There were very few women in this area.  He was thankful.  He went deeper and deeper into the field and expected it to end anytime soon, but it never came close.  He heard the sound of running water and looked around for it’s source.  He found a creek of crystal clear water nearby.  He smiled, he hated to admit he didn’t mind his surroundings to much.

He heard a small *blub* sort of noise made most likely by a stick or rock being throw into the water, he looked around.  He walked awhile until his ears lead him through a clearing of grass and flowers by the creek.  His heart skipped a beat.  There she was.

Beautiful, looking about eighteen again.  Her outfit was very like her usual, but different.  It was a light pink and the top half of her dress was much shorter than usual.  It showed a reasonable amount of her stomach, but not to much.  Her lower dress was exactly the same design as before, but she wasn’t wearing pants underneath.  Her hair down.  She wasn’t wearing shoes either, as a matter of fact he just realized he wasn’t either.  Why not?  There’s no broken glass on the floor in heaven.

He smirked.  She was sitting there on a rock, throwing rocks into the creek out of boredom.  She didn’t look very happy, her cheek in one hand, looking miserable.  A look very rare in heaven.

He wanted so much to just run up and grab her, but decided that might just be a little direct.  He disappeared back behind the bushes and crept around to where he was in the bushes directly behind her.  He slowly tiptoed up behind her, not making a sound.  He almost laughed, she had no idea what was going to happen!

He then put his finger over her eyes, wanting her to guess who.  He didn’t put his whole hands over her eyes or she might have recognized the size.

"What!?" she mumbled in surprise.  "Am I supposed to guess who?"  She sighed after a minute.  He moved his hands to make her head nod a yes.  She sighed again.  "Lunchi, I don’t have time for these games.  I told you I want to be alone," she said in annoyance.

Lunchi!?  Tien’s old girlfriend!? Goku thought.  So that’s who that was!  That blonde girl!… I wonder if she still sneezes…  Goku thought in a little bit of a daze at the memories of his childhood looking for the Dragonballs.  He shook the thought away though.

"Lunchi!  I said leave me alone!  I want to be left alone!" Chi Chi raised her voice.

He smiled.  He missed that yell.  He took his hands off her eyes.

She didn’t turn around though.  "I’m sorry Lunchi… I’ve just been depressed, you know that.  Now would you please leave?" she said, shoulders dropping.

He smiled again, but a very gentle smile.  He put his hand under her chin and turned her head around so fast that she didn’t even have time to see who’s and it was.  He naturally applied his lips to hers in a very long and awaited kiss.

Her eyes were so wide that they ached.  She was completely in the twilight zone, thinking she was dreaming.  She was shocked.  She had dreamed of things like this many times before and didn’t know what to think.  Is this really Goku? she thought.

She didn’t know if she had even blinked or not.  She was in such confusion trying to figure out if she had gone insane or was in a dream come true.  Then while she was trying to configure the obvious his tongue found it’s way into the kiss.  She knew that never happened in a dream.

"Grku!?" (like it sounds) she mumbled through his lips.  Her eyes started to water.  It was him!

He gently pulled back slightly looking her over.  She was still a little too shocked to cry.

"Wha… Wha… How!?" she stuttered, touching her lips that were still warm from his kiss.

He pulled her into his arms tightly.  He didn’t answer.

"You were still so young Goku, what happened?  You had at least 30 more years being a Saiyajin!  What in the world happened?" she yelled through her shock.

"I couldn’t live without you Chi Chi," he said softly in her ear.

That was it!  She started bawling.  "Y-You Y-You?" she tried to say.

He nodded.  "I decided I’d rather be with you than live in suffering for the rest of my lives," he whispered.  He held her close as she cried.  "Oh, and the kids said to say his" he said.

She looked up at him in question.  "They did?" she asked.

He nodded again.  "They did.  They knew we would be happier this way, too."  He smiled.

"We…" she whispered the word to herself.

He smiled so warmly that her heart felt like it melted.  "Yes, we.  Don’t you remember I said I’d die for you?" he asked in his cute little voice stroking her chin.

She nodded, wiping away a few tears.

"I’d give up anything and everything to live forever with you Chi Chi.  And that’s exactly what I did," he reminded softly.

She looked at him for a minute, with a very determined and rough look on her face.  He had on his big happy smile.  His eyebrows crooked in question of her expression.  He was in a light blue gi this time, rather than orange.  She had to admit she liked it better.  His hair still as spiky as ever.  She shook her head.

"You haven’t changed Goku," she said, bowing her head.  Her eyes watering.  "Thank God!" she choked out as she flung her arms around his neck.

He scooped her up and held her up swinging her around.  They were both laughing as they spun around crazily.  She was laughing so hard that her tears wee because of the strain on her eyes.

He finally set her down, catching his breath.  He sat down in the grass as she joined him, sitting on the arch of his legs.  He smiled and touched her cheek.  She smiled as she touched his hand on her face.  It had been so long she had almost forgotten how warm his hands were.  She took a deep breath, still amazed at her situation.

"Oh god, you don’t know how much I dreamed of this moment!" she blurted out.

"Yes I do," he said in a tone that made her look into his eyes.

She shook her head at his.  "You are amazing.  You baka!  Giving up your life to spend it with little old me," she said, trying not to laugh.

"Well then, I guess I’d take being stupid over miserable any day," he said with a smile.

She smiled with a sparkle in her eyes.  "Me too," she laughed.  She slid down his legs into his lap and held his face in her hands.  She leaned her forehead up against his, smiling.  She brought his lips to hers again, hands still holding his face.

"I love you Chi Chi," he said, looking into her eyes.

She giggled.  "I love you too Goku," she said, kissing him again.

"I’ve never seen anything so beautiful in my life!!!  Waaaaah!!!!"  One of the girls cried as the other handed her a tissue.

They watched from a distance.  All smiling.

"Have fun in heaven Chi Chi," the tall one said with a smile.

"That’s kind of unfair," one of them said with a sigh.

"Well, I say good for Chi Chi.  She deserves it," Lunchi said.

"Now she’s finally in heaven were she belongs," they said, walking away.

The End
