| MONKEY IS STILL AROUND! On Friday we started 3rd in the heat and quickly got out front and started to pull away from the field, but with three laps to go, all hell broke loose. The rear roter broke and it broke everything in the rearend having to do with the breaks, and that goes for both sides of the car. Don't ask how, because we can't explain it. After 320 dollars of repair we had it ready for the feature. Jim started last with the help of a provisional, and quickly got up to about 14th from 25th. But like last week, we broke a fuel pump putting us in 18th place. We are now in 7th place in the point standings at raceway 7. At tri-city, we started 6th and won the heat race. We started 5th in the feature and quickly got to 2nd. While battling with Bruce Powell for the lead, Powell spun his car in front of us and Jim had no where to go. Bruce lost his power steering. We went to the back in 19th, but fought our way back to 8th place. It really was to bad, because the car was a rocketship sunday night. We will be at Raceway 7 and Tri-city this weekend.. I hope that gets you up to date with our race team, please stop back for more information, and where we plan to run from week to week. Thanks, Scott |
