Coldly Mine (1999). Minimalist electropop with a hard edge. A slow, building
intro takes you to a strong melody hook, reminiscent of the Depeche Mode of
'Black Celebration' days, or Yazoo. This song was written in 1988, and it has
all the emotional intensity of the 80's synthpop era, to which it pays tribute.

3. It don't matter (hypothetical mix). Some info about the song: it incorporates
ripped vocals by Louise Carver, a local solo artist. The song is relatively
dance-oriented (but certainly not a house track) and is a departure from my
usual stuff in this, also in that I normally do the singing. Its also a shorter
version (3 minutes), but not a `faded out' version, its a mix on its own. LINK

4. Little Heart (Speechless Mix). Info: this song is a dark ballad in the tradition
of Depeche Mode's It Doesn't Matter Two or Yazoo's Anyone. It is short but sweet,
with vocals and vocal FX, synth, sampled guitar and real guitars used to create

Into Sleep. Info: A big, powerful sound and an emotionally intense lyric and vocal make this one of my best songs. The song is about the spiritual 'sleep' of the soul, into which we all go when our life's fire is burnt out. Its retro electronica with my trademark rythmic creativity and melodic sweetness.
To get some idea of what I mean by 'sleep' you must read 'Lilith' by George MacDonald, the scene in the house of Adam and Eve. I decided to dedicate it to Mary Stuart after reading her biography, the CD cover graphic is a picture of her tomb in Westminster Abbey.. LINK TAKES YOU TO MP3.COM
