Q103 - The Jazzlighthouse

What is Q103 - The Jazzlighthouse

Q 103 - The Jazzlighthouse is a free radio station working on out-off-band frequencies, mainly on our home-frequency which is 10330 kHz in USB. That's why the station named 103, and "Q" for the quality station for jazz and swing music, which is very seldom heard on pirate airwaves. We also use 6975 kHz from time to time and higher frequencies if the general propagation conditions will allow long distance reception.

Music is also played from Scandinavian countries, because our main transmitting locations are in Scandinavia and also our location at Riga in the Baltic Republic of Latvija was added for broadcast recently.

Q 103 is founded in 1998, after several years of absence of Moonlight Radio and Radio Universe International, both former projects in the 80's.

We like to broadcast some different programme to the pirate scene, not playing Dutch polka, no country music, no heavy metal and no actual charts music.

If You like our music, feel free to listen to Q 103, we are always happy to broadcast to a large audience of free radio freaks and radio listeners throughout the world. We don't like to use any relay facilities in Central Europe, so all programmes are coming from own facilities.

Listen to some of our jingles in MP3.
