1. A picture is worth a thousand words or more

2. Keep text to a minimum

3. Balance the page

4. Too many fonts is too many fonts

5. One side only

6. KISS (keep it simple, sir)

7. List appropriate books, websites, or other references

8. Check your grammar and spelling

9. Box important notes or items

10. Use color if available, but sparingly
