FIRST VERSE: (this line repeats throughout the verse)
(note: if you don't want to slide up to 10, you can simply play the
same pattern (5-5-4-5, etc..)) up a string (so on the A, D, and G
strings instead of the E, A, and D ones).

                we were walking....
E |----------------------------------------------------------------|-

D |-------4--------4--------------9--------9-----------------------|-
A |----5-----5--------5--------10----10-------10-------------------|-
E |-5-----------5--------5-/10----------10-------10----------------|-

BRIDGE:
("I could never divorce you....it's good to have options")
and
("So I told her I loved her...and she mostly believed me")

The second half of this riff is also used to go from the Chorus to the
2nd verse

B |-------------------------------------------------|----------------
G |-------------------------------------------------|----------------
D |-4--4--4--4--4--4--x--4--4--2--2--2--2--0--0--0--|----------------

G |-------------------------------------------------|----------------
D |-4--4--4--4--4--4--x-----------------------------|----------------
A |-4--2--2--2--0--0--0--4--4--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--|----------------
E |-x--x--x--x--x--x--x--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--|----------------

CHORDS USED IN THE CHORUS AND 2ND VERSE:

    D     G     D-up   G-up
E |-2-----x-----x-----x-------
B |-3-----3-----x-----x-------
G |-2-----0-----11----9-------
D |-0-----0-----0-----0-------
A |-x-----x-----9-----10------
E |-x-----3-----10----10------

CHORUS: the chorus is simply repeating D and G. In concert, David plays
these chords up on the fretboard, similar to the 2nd verse chords.
I put the way I play it on solo acoustic guitar, since without a band to
back me up it's nice to get the fullness of the lower chord inversions.

2ND VERSE: The 2nd verse is simply repeating D-up and G-up.

OUTTRO: it's basically the same as the intro; just listen to the song and
you'll be able to hear which parts are which. The last chord is a regular
B-minor chord.
