Radio Veronica
Although I can't speak Dutch or understand most of it I have a great big Thank You to say to Radio Veronica.  My first memories of Watery Wireless was at the coastal town of South Shields in the North East of England.  I  stayed with my sister and her husband at week-ends in 1965 and he used to have his new transistor radio tuned into this strange station that played music most of the time.   This NEW station opened my eyes to the world of  pop music and Pirate Radio. I have never stopped liking the sound of unauthorised broadcasting, because it hasn't got the baggage that comes with 'legal' set ups, and off course it's free from interference from the powers that be.
A rather distorted aircheck of Veronica, but I am sure you'll like it.
More stuff from that famous old lady called Veronica..
A really early jingle made for Radio Veronica at the start of the 60s
A very short Veronica station Identification jingle.
A Veronica news bulletin on her final day of broadcasting.
Another short snippet from the latter days of veronicas eventful life.
Rob Out doing the honours to close down this famous station in 74.
CNBC was an English service provided by Radio Veronica.

Another Radio Veronica memory jerker just for you
Last but not least more wonderful memories of those Veronica days.
