Instructions for adapting wave files to "bgm" format
European Air War Music Folder
Just as with utilizing music for the barracks radio, the initial files to be converted must be in the wave file format.  If you do not have a utility program to do this, you cand download ACMStation from this site which will easily convert any of the Mp3 files from this site to wave format.

Unlike the adp files (Barracks radio) however, it appears that the properties called for are not as stringent for the bgm files.  I currently have "Fade to Black" by the Rolling Stones as my menumus.bgm file and it is in PCM, 48,000khz, 16 bit stereo format and sounds just fine.

Therefore, feel free to experiment with the wave file properties before converting the desired music file to bgm format for EAW.

Converting to bgm format . . .

1)  Make sure the converted wave file is in a directory, not on the desktop.

2)  Select the View pulldown menu from the folders menu bar.

3)  Select Folder Options from the View pulldown menu.

4)  Click on the View tab in the Options dialog.

5)  Uncheck the Hide file extensions for known file types box.

6)  Click on the OK button and then rename the file to the same name of
whatever file you wish to replace in the EAW Music folder
     (i.e.; menumus.bgm).

7)  Drop the new music file into the EAW Music folder and you're all set.
