The Philco Transitone series are some of the more sought-after of Philco's bakelite sets, and it's easy to see why. Many of them featured some very unique styles, and this one is no exception. The knobs pictures are not original; if anyone has some original knobs (with the gold centers) please let me know.
It doesn't say "Transitone" on it, but it certainly looks like one doesn't it? A very clever-looking design indeed.
Again, I don't know if this is a Transitone. But it's certainly another unique, attention-grabbing design. The cabinet was in rough shape when I acquired it, including a missing rung on the speaker grille. The picture shows it after the cabinet has been rebuilt and painted.

One of many nice metal-cabinet radios made by Hallicrafters. This one features four bands and a fine-tuning control, and like most of these sets it has exceptional strength and selectivity.
