A lot has been said about these guys in the past regarding their size, posability, the materials they are made out of, and suffice to say, we won't know until we are holding them in our grubby little hands. But rest assured, when we do, we will give you the full scoop. For now, we have TFKenkon.com to thank for snagging these pictures. My review of the picture follows.
Weve all seen these guys before, when Takara gave us a glimpse of this infamous 5 (or six of you count Prime's cab) way back about half a year ago. But we never really knew what the sizes were. For all we knew, Bumblebee could've been bigger than Optimus. But for the first time, we can see some size comparisons. Soundwave has obviously shrunk. In the G1 toy, he was at least the same size as Optimus Prime, but is now dwarfed by Prime and even Starscream. It is not certain why the makers would do this, as Soundwave seemed like a pretty big character in the cartoon and the comics. The rest seem to be in proportion to Optimus. Starscream could stand to be a little smaller, but even having him the same height as Optimus would've been acceptable. Soundwave, hovever is not. Also notice the teeny weenie Roller. It looks like the wheels are solid, and I would be very surprised if they rolled. I am also hoping that Prime's cab comes with stickers. If not, this might be something you want to email reprolabels about. ;)
Here we have them pictured alongside some of the other micro sized transformers. I like the way this photo was taken, as it helps the consumer determine just how big these are. Judging from the above picture, these are in proportion to the Armada minicons. It would've been NICE if Optimus was bigger, because I always pictured him to be a lot taller than a standard Autobot car, and here, Sunstreaker (a.k.a Armada Sparkplug) seems bulkier that TWST Prime. I like the fact that Sideswipe is a little smaller than freaky-deeky Japanese recolor Oval. This would put him in the exact smae size as Micromasters, which we all know and love. For this I am thankful. We also see an Armada PVC tapping TWST Prime on the shoulder.
Here is another pic of them, now in vehicle mode. Nothing to really compare it to for sizing estimates, but it does show that Starscream now has the size to match his ego. This is where it looks like he far outsizes Optimus, but other than that, these toys look sharp. If people were to glance at this, I think most people would just assume these were the vintage toys. Whoever remodelled them into micro sized molds sure did a good job, but I'm still curious to know if they actually just take a pre-existing mold and somehow shrink it down. Hardliners complain about Soundwave and Megatron changing size, but we puny humans even have the ability to do it, so why is it so hard to swallow? Silly fleshlings!
When I first saw this one, I thought, "great, now I'm gonna have to get two versions, but apparently not. The Optimus in the back is the PVC version of Optimus in vehicle mode. But the front one is better, because it actually transforms. I just never got into PVCs for this fact. They were too much like Actionmasters, and we all know how well those did. I also forgot to mention the tiny Ravage in the previous picture and now this one. This thing is probably the most tiny Transformer ever made! I almost feel like asking Soundwave for the microfilm in a bad Russian accent! I hope they make Laserbeak, Rumble, et al as tiny cassettes. I still haven't seen any clear pics of Ravage as a panther.

Just how big is Unicron? Big enough to beat up your kid brother! All I can say is WOW! He can pick up TWSTs with one hand. This makes me wonder if they will come out with TWSTs for Armada characters, maybe if even just to keep with the theme of Unicron capturing them all for himself.

With that, I will conclude this review, but stay tuned! When I get these guys in my hands, prepare to be bombarded with more pics, more reviews, and anything else related to Microtransformers.
