Draft-Treaty of Mutual Recognition, Baracao-Shireroth

August 11th, 2003

In the hopes and pursuit of friendly and congenial relations between the people and governments of the involved nations, namely the Republic of Shireroth and the Republic of Baracao, we are to engage in a treaty of mutual recognition. As it stands, the legality of this treaty is to be recognized by all nations, and subject only to applicable laws in the Republics of Baracao and Shireroth.

In this document, both nations shall be referred to by acronym:
The Republic of Shireroth shall henceforth be referred to as the R.O.S.
The Republic of Baracao shall henceforth be referred to as the R.O.B.

I-Intended purpose of treaty

As a statement of intent, it is stated that the purpose of this treaty is to establish and strengthen relations of a friendly and peaceful nature. Through the processes each government has in place to make official these proceedings, it is hoped that the establishment of trade and other business exchanges will bolster the economic positions of each nation and work to form closer bonds between us.

II-Recognition of the legality of governments

It will stand clearly stated that the ideological differences present between the governments of the R.O.S and the R.O.B will not be an overriding factor in all diplomatic affairs. The governments and institutions are recognized as legal and just in the eyes of the citizens of each nation and answerable only to the citizens and peoples of the nation at question.

III-Recognition of Dual Citizenships

Persons in possession of citizenships in both the R.O.S and the R.O.B shall henceforth be endowed with the natural and legal rights of a full citizen in both nations.

IV-Naming of parties concerned

[Parties and representatives from both nations will be named here, heads of state first, followed by subsequent ranking government officials, and eventually foreign ministers.]
