This of course is a Special Edition of the original game. It had a new remixed soundtrack, new features, new characters & a new level. It was released for a holiday release in 1995(I think). Earthworm Jim: Special Edition was featured on such platforms as SEGA CD & PC.
SHINY ENTERTAINMENT did help make this, but INTERPLAY & ACTIVISION were really the one's who made the special edition. SHINY did help with this game, but INTERPLAY had the thought of making a special edition to one of 1994's best-selling games. INTERPLAY made the special edition for the SEGA CD version. ACTIVISION, which in 1998 got it off of SHINY & INTERPLAY to make the special edition to the PC.
This did pretty well on SEGA CD, but I think it did better & sold more on PC. |
