Cartoons

Not only is the N.C.L.B program simply a bunch of tests to make Bush seem tougher on education, but it is hypocrytical as well , as Steve Benson shows in this comic. What about the 8,800 Iraqi civilians we've killed in Bush's warmongering invasion of Iraq, and their children? What about the children of the American servicemen in Iraq, who are being kill at an average rate of one per day, even we defeated Saddam? These, especially the children of those dying simply because of Bush's arrogant, imperialistic war deserve help, even more than the rest of America. The rest of America needs it as well, and the N.C.L.B law is not the way to do this.

Again, another comic about Bush's education policy. We don't need to go into space, mister president! Until we stop waging war on countries under false pretenses, and can educate our students far better than we do now, and can truthfully say again that our nation is the best in the world, we cannot waste our time and money on stupid, election-seeking ventures such as launching things to Mars. NASA can take a funding cut; they are the most unnecessary part of our government. We need help in our intelligence, as demonstrated by the Iraq fiasco, and in education and healthcare. The constitution says to "Protect the general welfare", not the interests of one election-seeking individual.
