Anyway, you might know about this zine. You might not know about this zine. But heres something I know you dont know: Two years ago, when I was a senior in high school, I made another zine entitled Voice For Change. There was a picture of an empty classroom on the front and inside there were articles about abortion and Christianity and the AIMS test and school shootings and all sorts of other things. It was much, much better than Radical Locality, which doesnt really say much. In fact, its still very green, and I often still cringe at a lot of my prose. Some of the premises were good, some were awful. Some word arrangements were banal, others were gorgeous. The end result is an exercise in the brilliance of mediocrity. However, I never actually mass printed this zine. In fact, the zines entire existence lay dormant in a manila envelope in my desk, until today, when I stumbled across it. I regret never distributing copies of it because, at the time, I think a lot of people would have really enjoyed it. Now, however, it feels like such ancient history that I would never mass produce it. Nevertheless, I will make a few copies of it and handle them in the way that Rolls Royces are handled. That is, I will print out copies based on demand. So, if, for whatever reason, you are curious about what sorts of things I was writing/thinking about a few years ago, or if you just want to see a replication of an ad I placed in the classifieds for the cross Jesus died on, send an email to [email protected], and I will figure out a way to get a copy to you.
Thanks,
