Type: Stealthy fire and forget anti-ship missile, de-facto land attack capability (developed versions with specialized land-attack capability)

Guidance: GPS/INS with input from radar altimetre and search/tracking radar.
Option of pre-launch target position, post-launch target position,
post-launch re-targetting and post-launch default self-search pattern(s).

Flight profile: Sea-skimming by radar altimetre, option of non sea skimming
profile by GPS control, multiple waypoint course.

Homing: Active or passive, by active phased array search/tracking radar,
multiple attack profiles (ultra-low sea-skimming, pop-up, corkscrew, etc.)
Warhead: 1,000 lb armour piercing, explosive (AFX-757) 25% by weight of
warhead

Airframe: Carbon-fibre for low weight and stealth, metallicised where
necessary to reflect stealth shape.

Propulsion: Low-bypass turbofan engine providing 1,200 lb st, for low IR and
smoke emmision, intake is screened for frontal hemisphere stealth.

Fuel: Jet-A/JP-5/8, 450 lb (204 kg, 255 L)

Control: Aft hydraulically actuated tailplanes controlling roll and pitch,
steering by bank-to-turn.

Comments: The missile will be built in 3 parts. The nose section houses the search/tracking radar, the guidance/contol avionics, the GPS and INS, and the radar altimetre. The land attack variant will have same equipment, but software will be changed from anti-ship homing to terrain following. Software can be changed pre-launch (on ship/in submarine) or pre-flight (from aircraft). The mid section houses the warhead and part of the fuel load. An alternate warhead (to be designed!) will have a multi-type submunition dispenser. Possible stretched (+2 foot) extended range mid body (with reduced warhead) available. The aft section houses the low-bypass turbofan engine, the air intakes and ducting, the flight controls and the remainder of the fuel load. In land attack variant, the engine is de-rated to 800 lb st, cutting speed to Mach 0.775 at sea level but extending range by 22.5% (to 287.5 nm) with no change to fuel load. Extended range mid-body could add up to 250 lb fuel, increasing range by 90% over standard anti-ship version (from 235 nm to 447.5 nm).
