MOTTO:  "NEED BEFORE GREED"

CHARTER

Our Code of Honor dictates who we are. This is what makes us unique in the world of Norrath. This is the common thread that binds us together.
As a member of
Radiant Glory, a guild on the Erollisi Marr server of Everquest, please try to follow these simple guidelines:

1. - Respect for others

a. We ask that all members of the guild treat others with respect and courtesy.  This is much like the 'Golden Rule' of 'Do unto others as you would have done unto you'.  Every person who plays EQ is unique in their personal lives and what may not bother you, may seriously offend someone else.  Treat others in the guild as family.

b. In conjunction with this rule, slandering, flaming or attacking of any guild member (past or present) in Guild Chat or other public forum is not allowed. This should extend to those who were also removed/de-guilded for their actions.

2. - Main and Alternate characters
Upon accepting an invitation to the guild, all players may request that their Main and Alternate characters be given a guild invite.  Radiant Glory Officers will place a date in the comment section of the guild roster. A 30 day probation period is required of all new guild members.

3. - Money and Equipment
Members of the guild are under no obligation to provide any other member with equipment or money.  If a guild member has something they would like to give away or sell, please offer it to other guild members before listing it on a bazaar mule (this is not a requirement).

4. - Power-leveling, Porting, Rezzing, Summoning and Buffing

a. Power-leveling - Power-leveling is described as having a high level character assist your low level character in gaining levels faster than normal.  No higher level in the guild is under any obligation to Power-level a lower level character upon request.  Requests may be made, but understand we are all here to have fun and move forward in our adventures in Norrath.  As such, your request may be denied.

b. Porting - No Druid or Wizard is required to port another member upon request.

c. Rezzing - No Cleric is required to rez another member upon request.

d. Summoning - No Necro is required to summon or rez your corpse upon request.

e. Buffing - No caster is required to Buff your character or group upon request. Understand that just because someone refuses to answer your request doesn't mean they don't like you.  They may simply be in a group, raid or adventure that they can not break away from.

5. - Begging and Spamming

a. Spamming - Spamming can be defined various different ways such as repeating the same text over and over consecutively, or sending a large piece of text over the guild channel in several blocks.  Either way it's defined, it should be avoided.

b. Begging - People have worked long and hard for the money and items that they have acquired. Begging on the guild channel will usually lead to people ignoring you, and that is always a bad thing when you truly need help.  So please, avoid any begging on the guild channel.

6. - Questions and Answers
At times you may ask a question on the guild channel and find yourself sitting and waiting for a response while conversation goes on around you.  The mostly likely culprits of this are either, a) no one knows the answer, b) they are fighting and unable to respond, c) they are AFK, or d) they are in a private conversation and not monitoring the guild channel.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PERSONALLY! If you need a question
answered, please send a tell to an Officer who is online and they may be able to guide you in the proper direction or provide the proper answer.

7. - Disregard of the Guidelines and Removal from Guild

a. The guidelines and rules listed above are here for a reason.  Any blatant disregard for the above guidelines is grounds for immediate de-guilding.  We understand mistakes may be made, but if it's obvious that members are not in compliance with the guidelines and rules listed above, removal from the guild may be used to correct the issue.

b. De-guilding, or removal from the guild, lies in the hands of the Officers of the guild, if you find you are having problems with another member in the guild,  please contact an officer so the situation can be monitored.

No class is required to render their services to another guild member, however it is encouraged. This includes but not limited to rez's, tanking, tracking, corpse summoning, porting, pet toys, lock picking and trade skills. Consideration should be given on compensating those that do.

Things that will decrease your faction with Radiant Glory:

1) Flaming anyone especially based off of Real Life (i.e. religion, sex, martial status, job, etc.)
2) Begging from guild members or others.
3) Rolling on gear when it is not for your class/race and someone of that class/race is present in the group. Remember need before greed.
4) Going AFK without informing the party you are grouped with.
5) Playing in Anon - use Roleplay so that your Guild Tag still shows (or why did you join us?)
6) Using profanity in Guild Say. You never know the RL age of fellow members.

Things that will increase you faction with Radiant Glory:

1) Offering your used gear to someone else in the guild when you get an upgrade.
2) Soloing in a zone and inviting fellow guild members to join you.
3) Explaining to a fellow guild member the mechanics, tips or tricks about their class/race, zone or raid. We are not all experts, share the knowledge.
4) Using specialties or your class to help others. Such as rezzes, ports, corpse summons, tracking, buffs, etc.

Things that will make you KOS (deguilded) with Radiant Glory:

1) Repeatedly doing things that decrease your faction.
2) Excessive complaining or bad attitude.
3) Any thing that is prohibited by Sony or the common laws or the world. KSing, intentional training, ninja looting, etc.
4) Publicly embarrassing Radiant Glory.

We are currently NOT a raiding guild. Please feel free to take raid invitations so that you may learn the tactics of raiding.
