"He's Dead, Jim!"

Warning: Contains spoilers for LoD and Suikoden 2.

I hate it when my favorite characters die in a game. And they always do, I swear it!

That's 'cause the people have finally learned that I'll like 'em, and then they'll kill 'im. That's what happens with everything else, too. Manufacturers learn I like it, and they stop making it, or they learn that I might like it, and they won't make it in the first place. Just to spite me.

And you know what? I'll always spend shitloads of time growing the character, getting the money to buy better weapons for them, and I'll completely ignore the other characters. And what do I get in return? They die! Gone! Normally this occurs at the end of the first disc. It pisses me off.

Except the death of Aeris. That didn't piss me off. In fact, that made me happy. That's the one time that a character death made me happy. One less damsel-in-distress-whine-whine-whine-SAVE-ME-CLOUD-!-!-! character.

But then they killed off Lavitz! One of the TWO decent characters in Legend of Dragoon! Stupid bastards who made the game, they did that on purpose. They figured I'd like Lavitz, and then they decided to kill him. >_<

And Gremio! Gremio was my favorite Suikoden character, out of the billions and billions of characters in the game. Then they disposed of him. I spent a lot of time and money growing his goddamn weapon, too. Pissed me off. Then Luc died in a battle, and now I can't get him again. Doubly pissed me off.

Why don't they ever kill off WORTHLESS characters?! Like, ooh, say...Shana and Miranda from Legend of Dragoon! Maybe ALL the characters from Final Fantasy VIII? >_< But no, they've got to kill the ones *I* like! Not the ones everyone *else* likes.

Pisses me off.
