A Totally DIFFERENT Daryl Theory
Warning: Contains the most bizzare theory I have ever stumbled across. Ok, maybe not the weirdest, but it's definitely out there.
Final Fantasy VI was one big conspiracy.
Just one friggin' thing after another, wasn't it? Do this, do that, GODDAMN YOU, TERRA!! ULTIMA!!
Anyway.
As I was saying, Daryl is really the guy who says "Remove all equipment?" on the Falcon.
Mad, you say? CRAZY, YOU SAY?!
Damn straight.
Back to the matter at hand.
You probably think that Daryl is Gogo.
Tch. Poor, poor blinded little Squaresoft junkie. Daryl is not Gogo, silly goose. Everyone knows Gogo is Locke's alter ego that split away from him by an odd operation and the come-ons of Arvis. But that's another story.
This is about Daryl, and how she came to be a man.
They didn't have those operations back then, ya know.
It took hard work and dedication. Maybe a bit of imagination. Lots of time. Effort.
And a will to live and piss Setzer off!!
*runs away from the men in the white coats and hides behind a bush*
Now, where was I?
Oh yeah. Daryl is the guy who says "You want to change party members?"
And I have proof, goddamn you.
For one, the guy comes with the Falcon. And where did Daryl supposedly "die" at? In the wreckage of the Falcon! So I call Daryl fixed her wounds and stuff, and since she was, like, scarred or something, she disguised herself as a man. And Setzer, as cool as he is, is not the brightest crayon in the box, a few fries short of a happy meal, etc...so he probably wouldn't have noticed. Maybe he just thought the guy was gay or something. Who knows?
And another thing. Daryl would not have gotten her ass sucked into a Zone Eater's stomach. She is not that stupid. She would have thrown wreckage and old, moldy oatmeal cream pies and such. (moldy oatmeal cream pies own j00, by the way...)
Banon, however, is that stupid.
But this isn't about Banon, now is it?

Damn straight, bitch, it's not! It's about Daryl.

Daryl had to have some level of survival skills, because she survived the crash of the Falcon, and then she was apparently locked in the airship which was in turn locked in her own tomb, and undead monsters were roaming all about. Would a regular old guy whose only means of defense is annoying people by saying "Remove all equipment?" would not have lasted past "all". He would have been eaten or he would have tripped and killed himself or something.
So obviously, Daryl MUST be that guy.
I can think of loads more rational explainations that your small, feeble mind couldn't think of, but you wouldn't be able to understand them. Only the great minds of our time will ever understand them, and you are not one of the great minds of our time, I'll tell ya' that. Continue your blinded little life, peasant, and continue to think that I'm psycho and you're right and that Daryl's Gogo or whatever.
