Confederated Baseball Leagues of America (CBLA)
Since 1960
Commissioner Branch Rickey

Currently Under Construction, Images, Major Changes To Come!

Welcome to the Confederation! The CBLA is an alternate history baseball league which derives itself from the premise that the Federal League of 1914-1915 continued play as an accepted major league in 1916. This caused some changes in major league baseball, as Chicago and St. Louis now had three teams each while the New York area had five. Some teams moved (like the White Sox, who went down to Louisville, while the Saint Loo Terriers went to North Carolina), and a round-robin World Series gave fans something to look forward to each year.

But the domination of major league baseball on the East Coast disturbed fans on the West, and eventually in 1959, the Pacific Coast League announced themselves no longer a AAA league, but a full functioning major league. After a bitter year of fighting, MLB Commissioner Branch Rickey set up the Confederated Baseball Leagues of America, or the CBLA, which severed baseball into two “circuits”: the Senior Circuit (American League and National League, and the Junior Circuit (Federal League and Pacific Coast League). The two circuits would play each other in a Circuit Series, best of seven, and then the circuit champions would play each other in the World Series.

That’s where this league begins. In order to facilitate for the alternate history of the league, we play using OOTP 4’s fictional players setting. Some teams have renamed themselves (the Phillies changed their name to the Blue Jays in 1944 in real life and became the Phils again in 1946, here the name stuck past 1945), but largely the teams remain the same, unless they have moved.
You may own as many as two teams, but no trading will be allowed between teams owned by the same person.
