Highlights of our India Trip:
Watching the scattered lights over Bombay city from the airplane at 1AM after
20 hours of travel and then Touchdown in India!
Jai meeting our Guru, Poojya Shree Bhagawan for the first time in Ahmednagar on the evening of August 24th.
Poojya Shree Bhagawan saying "Now your marriage is complete" and smiling warmly as he made us garland each other in his presence and be blessed again as husband and wife on August 26th.
Meeting achan and amma for the first time at Goa as they rushed out from the Calangute beach villa to hug us all.
Lazy breakfasts before goa sightseeing and warm dinners after sightseeing with the whole family at the Goldeneye restaurant a stone's throw away from the villa. Chatting with the friendly folk in Goa.
Our elaborate 2 hour lunch breaks at Delhi Durbar,Moti Mahal, Brito's Shack in Goa.
The beautiful St.Francis church and Chuch of Bom Jesus in Goa.
The fun cruise over the mandovi river in the evening full of Goan song and dance.
Going to the fort aguada resort and taking pictures.
The train ride back to Trivandrum with the whole family.
Meeting my grandmother and having her sambar again for lunch at her home.
Dinner party at Trivandrum club hosted by achan for all my family members.
Meeting familiar faces and seeing familiar places in Trivandrum city.
The whole family driving to Kuzhikot family temple and the lunch at Sindhoor restaurant afterwards.
Going to Varkala with the whole family to see Jai's valliamma, lunch at the Taj
and then taking the winding walk towards Varkala beach.
The onam feast in Jai's home. 3 days of continuous sadyas in different homes.
Going to see the hindi movie "kuch na kaho" with everyone and laughing aloud at
serious scenes. Going to Lucia hotel later on and cracking up with laughter
when Jai walked into the mirror and all kinds of funny anecdotes.
Shopping at Bombay and shopping at Trivandrum with Jessie chechi.
Going to lakme beauty parlour and getting a great facial with chechi/molu.
Amma making a nice chain for chechi and me to wear.
Spending the night at Sri Vidya with valliamma and Valliachan.
Valliamma sending my favorite dish "Kha merukuvazhatti" with the driver over
for lunch from Sri Vidya the day before I left.
