With Winter Comes...
The Lions Club Christmas Tree Sale
Back
To Volunteer E-mail Lion Joe:
The Annual Christmas Tree Sale is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Radford Host Lions Club.  Set up begins early the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Lions meet in the Sal's Restaurant parking lot in West End Radford.  Set up begins with the trailer, fencing, and tree stands.  Later that morning the trees are delivered and unloaded onto the lot for sale.

There are many types of trees:  Frazier firs, white pines, scotch pines, as well as live trees.  Wreaths and white pine garlands are also for sale.

Lions take turns manning the lot, which is open from early morning until late evening.

Any trees left over at the end of the sale are donated to local hospitals in order to cheer up those who need it the most during the holiday season.
