Turbo History

Twenty-five years ago, we unveiled a remarkable new sports car that was to set new benchmarks for the industry. Its name was the 911 Turbo, and it was intended to be nothing less than engineering perfection on four wheels. Contrary to the conventions of the time, it combined stunning performance with a loathing for compromise. It also offered a first glimpse of qualities that would characterize the 911 Turbo from then on. Qualities such as power, purity and passion.

Throughout its history, the 911 Turbo has always stood alone. Each successive generation was a celebration of outright performance, and a byword for originality and innovation. For many, it was the ultimate sports car. Until we unveiled the next one.
