Few people in all of sports are honored so much as to have their own term named after them.  John Tripodi is one such man.  The now famous "Ginzo Shift" is a tactic employed against this aggresive hitter.  By having one player stand at first base and everyone else crowded between second and third base at varying levels, opposing teams caused the Birdman's average to drop to 0.380 this season.  His 2 home runs were a career high, but 2007 was just an unlucky season for The Pimp With A Limp, winning only 4 games in 15 tries.  He started his first game as a pitcher, gaining a no decision. 

He is a Hall of Fame member and a two time All-Star.
