A.I. Comment on Ending
I think the movie could have saved itself a little bit by simply ending with David trapped under the ice, staring at the blue fairy, right at the point where the camera pans way out, and the narrator is decribing David's situation. At least that would have been like a REAL sci-fi ending ... you know, robot boy's computer chip brain lives on indefinitely, fixated on this one repetitive thought throughout millenia, as only a machine could do ... and so on. At least then you could have said, despite all the prior stupidness, at least the ending made sense. But alas, maybe it was just too difficult of an ending for the masses? Oh well!
