Apolo went over to the car. He knocked on the window and told her to get out of the car. Pua sighed and got out.
�What?� she said coldly.
Apolo reached out and touched her face with his fingers.
�I----� he was cut off.
�I don�t want to hear it. You think that I�m some lovesick puppy right? Just trying to get your attention because you�re this big, famous, superstar? I did not ask for this!�
�No that�s not----�
�Good,� she cut in, �because I�m not no love-sick puppy and don�t think that you can just come waltzing into my life and just-------�
She was cut off by Apolo�s kiss. His kiss was cut off by Pua�s hand cracking on his cheek.
�What the hell was that for?� she said, holding his jaw.
�For kissing me you idiot!�
�What?! Wait a minute! I�m confused! Why is me kissing you a bad thing?�
�Because you were with that girl just this after noon, and now you after me again.�
�Jesus Pua! You�re making me sound like some sort of animal!�
�That�s because that�s what you are, an animal! A fucking dog!�
�If I�m a dog then I guess that makes you a bitch!� He bit back.
�I�m glad you finally saw the light.�
�You know what I don�t need this, I have girls throwing themselves at me.� He turned to go then stopped. Spinning on his feet he turned to her. When he spoke again his voice had changed.
�But some how, the only one I want hates me.� He paused. �Don�t you see? I love you. I love you Pua, and there�s nothing that can change that.� Pua shook her head.
�Listen to me,� he said grabbing her shoulders. �I love you.� He spoke each word purposefully as if to explain something to a child. In a way, she was still a child, in the ways of love she was very much childlike. She looked at the gravel, speaking barely above a whisper. �Don�t say that.�
Turning away she looked at her car. Why do I keep on doing this to myself? He just said that he loves me. Why do I keep on denying this feeling? What is wrong with me? She decided right then and there that she was going to stop being stubborn and finally let someone in her life, someone that could make her love.
She turned back to him and looked into his eyes. �I�m sorry that I didn�t believe you the first time. I�m also sorry that I ugh�I cracked you in the face.�
He shrugged. �It�s okay.�
�Did I hit you hard?�
Apolo winced. �Well� yeah you did, but it�s ok. Really. Lets get out of here.�
�I know a place,� she said with a smile.
They hopped into Pua�s car and left. Bobbi was watching them out of her window. She sighed with happiness. She was glad that Pua finally understood and accepted her feelings.
Pua drove Apolo back to Sherwood�s. �Remember this place?� she asked him with a smile. He nodded. That accident was still fresh in his mind.
The clouds began to turn gray, and gloomy as a storm lumbered in. The rain started off slowly, drizzling at first then steadily fell harder. Before they knew it, the rain was pouring down on them, but they didn�t care, they were with each other. That�s all that mattered. Pua had wanted to show Apolo her world, the one of beaches, and water, but most of all a world of heat.
Suddenly Apolo felt her hand on the nape of his neck. His alarm went off, He looked at Pua. Her soft brown hair was falling out of the ponytail she had had it in during their walk. Her eyes were looking up at him, almost as if she expected something. Grabbing her, he pulled her close and kissed her. She tasted so sweet. Her lips parted as a soft moan erupted from them. Gently, he pulled away,They got out of the car and decided to take a walk on the beach. Speaking to each other with a gentle touch of a hand, or a simple look, they said more than words ever could. They both knew that talking would only complicate things. So far that�s all it had seemed to do.
