| Centering Prayer is a practical way of helping us to be open and sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Contemplative Prayer is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Centering Prayer prepares us for this gift by our consenting to God's presence and action within. We sit with open minds and open hearts, without words and without images--yielded and open in the presence of God.
