Everyone knows why dictators exist; to give the History channel something to talk about in between Civil War documentaries! So, here is a small collection of some those cuddly, blood thirsty bastards who are responsible for destruction, poverty, mass homicide and Finland. Rock!

Adolf Hitler
Nazi and Arayan race.

A man hardly in need of an introduction. After all, what can we say about the man who started one of the most destructive conflicts in the world? Not only did he illiminate twelve million problematics, but he also enslaved the population under the Soviets for over 50 years!

Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin
Soviet union

Joseph Stalin was perhaps one of the most brilliant dictators of the past century. He killed millions of ordinary citizens to cover up for his government's screw ups, but he could shake your hand and know immediately whether he could trust you or not. Of course if he couldent, you were shot.

Benito Mussolini
Fascist Italy

Inventor of the doctrine of Fascism along side Umberto Moscha. Rome immediately began to set out to create the new Roman empire in 20th century clothing. Benito was very popular for a time during the invasion of Abyssinia. Mussolini came to a downfall in World War II and was torn apart.

Mao Zedong
Communist China

Former leader of the communist party in China, Mao fought along side Chiang kai Shek against the Japaneise invaders of the 30's and 40's and then turned against them to take control of the entire country. He gained god-like respect from his victory in 1949 until his death in 1976.

Fidel Castro
Revolutionary Cuba

Castro overthrew Fulgencio Batista in 1959 and has been the supreme dictator of Cuba to this day. In past history, he is known for being almost responsible for kicking off World War II.

Nicolae Ceausescu
Communist Romania

Nicolae took the reigns of power of the communist party of Romania in 1965. He showed a brave defiance toward the Soviet Union throughout his time in ruling which gained him freinds all over the world. But as the world finally got what was going on with the abusive rule and brutal police force, he was overthrown and executed on LIVE television on Christmas Day in 1989.

Saloth Sar A.K.A. POL POT
Cambodia

Pol Pot was only in power of Cambodia for four years (1975-1979) but those years witnessed much bloodshed and terror in the most ghastly ways. Although he was forced from power by the invading Vietnamese army, Pol Pot fled and continued a guerilla war until his death in 1998.

Jean Bedel Bokassa
Central African Empire

As commander-in-cheif of the Central African Republic, he led a coup and installed himself in power in 1965. He declared himself president for life and later Emporer Bokassa I of the Central African Empire. Overthrown in 1979, he had a nasty habit of drinking blood and eating the flesh of human babies.

Jean Claude Duvalier (Baby Doc)
Haiti

Son and heir of the notorious Francois Duvalier (Papa Doc), he continued his father's legacy of greed and corruption, though with style, not at the least when he got married and had television sets placed on every high street in the land so his citizens could watch. Baby Doc was forced out of power in 1989, the same year Nicolae Ceausescu was executed..
