I have a small affection for golden horses. While a good horse has no wrong color, I appreciate a little pizazz instead of the 'plain brown wrapper' that is one of the predominant colors of the breed. While not all of the horses seen here are shown in GASHA classes, the Golden American Saddlebred Horse Association does have it's own futurity [held in Iowa] and World Show [held in Ohio]. I am working hard to have more performance classes added to shows in the Midwest, please contact me if you have a golden and want to show it in GASHA classes. I have a show held in July at Columbia, MO that wants our Goldens; especially a Parade Class!
Showing and winning in the Parade Division, Stonewall's Golden Dreams Dream. Circa 1960's This team has even won a class without the saddle. The judge told her there was too much silver on the saddle, and so she took it off and won the class without it! Owned, ridden and loved by Marlene Hansen.
This is Gold Commander. He is a 7 yr old palomino ASB stallion. His sire is CH Harvest Commander. Gold Commander is 3x WC GASHA and 2x WGC GASHA in the Stallions and Three gaited divisions. He also holds the highest points in the nation for Saddle/Pleasure Type in the Color division for PHBA and is now retired.

Americana's Gone Gold has shown lightly but has always been in the top ribbons. He stands to the public in Missouri, and his first foal crop will arrive in May. View his website here.
ATTENTION! I have just found out about at Golden needing rescue/adoption at Under The Angels Wings Rescue in Southern California. Please check out Prince and perhaps donate some time or money for him.
