Private Treaty
Grade I stakes-placed
Dam of BLACK AND BLUE (gr. II)

Chestnut mare 1996
by The Chieftain - Lost Code, by Codex

Easily the most beautiful mare on the farm, Private Treaty raced only one year. She never broke her maiden, but retired with seven finishes in the money from 10 starts and earnings of $200,825. She was second by a nose in the grade I Dubai Distaff Classic and had several other close finishes against grade I competition, showing her true class. Her oldest foal is the Highland Gold filly Black and Blue, winner of over $900,000 in her illustrious career.

    G.O. T. REPORT

Breaks from the starting line about average, with the pack.
Has a nice, smooth running gait.
Responds well to urging, picks up some speed.
We won't know for awhile, but her legs may be good for the whole distance.
Seems to run at her best most of the time during workouts.
This filly might show some improvement over jumps.
Seems to run like a sprinter, though I'm not completely sure.
Doesn't seem to have the heart for serious racing. Could be a problem.
