A bright-eyed mare who loves nothing better than to chew on human coatsleeves, P.S. I Love You is a joy to watch and a handful to manage. She is great friends with An Angel's Message, and they shared a similar "devil-may-care" attitude when it cames to running well on the track. P.S. I Love You is a beautiful red chestnut.
This filly breaks so fast the jockey'll get whiplash!
Runs fairly well, from what I've seen.
Fairly adequate response when you ask her for run.
Seems to hold together at least to a mile. I'm not certain beyond that.
Not the most consistent. Has quite a few off-days.
I'd say this filly would show noticeable improvement at steeplechasing.
Likes to get the lead early. A definite sprinter.
Seems competitive enough.

Australian Juvenile Fillies (gr. I), maiden at Del Mar
At 2, 2000:
This sweet little chestnut debuted gamely, finishing second in a maiden at Churchill Downs. The remainder of her two-year-old year would be a topsy-turvy one, however, as she could never quite figure out what she was supposed to do on the track. Poor breaks were common due to her inattention in the starting gate, and the one time jockey Danny Gallagher smacked her to wake her up, she reacted as though her tail had been set ablaze. She finished second again in a Del Mar maiden, but that seemed to be more of an accident as she raced wide and avoided most of the traffic jams. She did fairly well in another race at the California track, then turned in horrid runs. Still, trainer Gene Logan was taken with her and sent the filly down under for the Australian Juvenile Fillies (gr. I). It seemed a ridiculous move, but P.S. I Love You ran fourth, marking herself forever with the inprobable honor of being grade I stakes-placed.
At 3, 2001:
What's racing all about again? P.S. I Love You seemed to have forgotten over the off season, as her three-year-old year was another roller-coaster ride of unexpected good finishes and scatterbrained performances. She began to settle down in the spring, turning in three straight performances in the money before breaking her maiden at Hollywood Park in June. After a well-deserved break, she dropped like a rock in her next start-- "Back to her old self," said Gene-- but managed to earn a few more dollars before the tumultuous year was out.
At 4, 2002:
P.S. I Love You graced the track only once at age four, turning in an awful performance in a starter allowance. She had experienced a rough off-season, and we threw in the towel on the filly after this lone start, returning her to the farm and helping her settle into a new career as a broodmare.
