Rick Martin, Jim McCallum early Southern New England entrants in DNK Select 250

Unity, Maine A pair of noted stock car racers from Massachusetts  - Radical Rick Martin of Westport, and Jungle Jim McCallum of Fall River  - will head north for Unity, Maine on Sunday, June 13, seeking what they hop will be a healthy chunk of the New England record Pro Stock racing purse posted for the DNK Select 250 at Unity Raceway. Martin and McCallum helped the early entry list for the $25,000-to-win event top the fifty mark with over two months to go before the green flag flies on an all-star, 33-car field of PASS Pro Stocks.
Martin has won several Pro Stock track championships at Seekonk Speedway, located minutes outside of Providence in Seekonk, Mass.  He also won a NASCAR Busch North Series race at Seekonk around fifteen years ago. In addition, Martin has a NASCAR Weekly Racing Series track championship to his credit at Thompson International Speedway in Thompson, Connecticut.
McCallum has been building and racing full-bodied stock cars for almost forty years and has been quite successful at a number of racing facilities throughout the northeast. McCallum is no stranger to racers and fans in Maine, though most of his success in the Pine Tree State has been at Wiscasset Raceway.
Martin and McCallum join a list of over fifty top Pro Stockers from throughout the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada. The confirmed entry list includes reigning back-to-back NASCAR Busch North Series Andy Santerre, the Aubuchon Hardware-sponsored driver and Cherryfield, Maine native now living in North Carolina.
Reigning two-time PASS champion Ben Rowe will be on hand, along with 2003 $100,000 DNK Big Dawg Challenge 400 winner Sudn Sam Sessions, the only other PASS champion crowned, to date. Former Busch North champion Dick McCabe will be racing alongside the likes of former NASCAR Weekly Racing Series National Champion Ted Christopher and a host of former Maine Pro Stock champions like Mike Rowe, Ralph Nason, Stan Meserve, Al Hammond, Scott Chubbuck, Duane Seekins, John Phippen and Jeff Taylor.
The DNK Select 250 at Unity Raceway is sanctioned by the Pro All Stars Series. For rules, purse or ticket information, check out www.proallstarsseries.com, www.dnkselect.com, or www.unityraceway.net. For advanced reserved seating or spectator information call (207) 465-7266 or DNK at (888) 582-3465. Major credit cards will be accepted for both reserved grandstand tickets and competitor entry fees.
A full three programs of racing are planned for the June 11-13 weekend, with a full card of Unity Raceway action presented on both Friday and Saturday nights. Plenty of free parking is available. Unity Raceway is located on Route 139 in Unity, Maine. Free self-contained camping is available at the Speedway throughout the DNK Select 250 weekend, June 11-13, with all necessary amenities available within easy walking distance.
