Tracy Gordon enters DNK Select 250

Unity, Maine Tracy Gordon of Strong, one of Maines top stock car racing veterans, is the latest to add his name to the all-star list of racers looking for the $25,000 top prize in the DNK Select 250 Pro All Star Series race at Unity Raceway June 13.
Gordon has been to victory lane many times in NASCAR Busch North Series competition, including a win at New Hampshire International Speedway before a huge crowd on a Cup weekend. A former ACT Rookie-of-the-Year and proven Pro Stock winner since his formative days behind the wheel at Oxford, Gordon has also competed in several ASA events.
Last year Gordon was lightning-quick in a handful of Pro All Stars Series events, including a win over Dale Shaw and Ben Rowe at Speedway 95. He did not compete in last years PASS event at Unity Raceway.
Gordon joins whats shaping up to be Maines toughest racing field of the 2004 campaign, including both former PASS champions  - two-time and reigning titlist Ben Rowe, and the inagural king, 2003 DNK Big Dawg Challenge winner Sudn Sam Sessions.
The parade of champions keep coming, with Aubuchon Hardware-sponsored driver, and two-time and defending NASCAR Busch North Series champion Andy Santerre of Cherryfield, Maine slated to shoe Doug Whites DNK #45 Pro Stock.
Eight-time Oxford Plains Speedway Pro Stock champion Jeff Taylor of Mercer, Maine will steer Cory Hights car, and seven-time Oxford kingpin Mike Rowe, father of the aforementioned Ben Rowe, is looking forward to the DNK Select 250.
Scott Chubbuck, a five-time champion at Wiscasset Raceway, has to be considered a contender based upon his success in past Unity open comp races. Big John Phippen is a multi-time champion in the top class at both Speedway 95 and Wiscasset Raceway, and hes on the entry list along with former NASCAR Weekly Racing Series National Champion Ted Christopher. Over forty-five drivers have entered the event to date, with almost three months left until the date of the event.
Local and regional racing legends Ralph Nason and Stan Meserve will also be contenders for the top prize. Both drivers are in their sixties, but will be in top-notch equipment. Nasons lone 2003 start produced a $5000 win in Unitys Longjohn 150, Meserve currently is employed at Dale Earnhardt, Incorporated.
The DNK Select 250 at Unity Raceway is sanctioned by the Pro All Stars Series. For rules, purse or ticket information, check out www.proallstarsseries.com, www.dnkselect.com, or www.unityraceway.net. For advanced reserved seating or spectator information call (207) 465-7266 or DNK at (888) 582-3465.      A full three programs of racing are planned for the June 11-13 weekend, with a full card of Unity Raceway action presented on both Friday and Saturday nights. Plenty of free parking is available. Unity Raceway is located on Route 139 in Unity, Maine.
