Former Unity Raceway Champion Dean Fuller enters DNK Select 250

Unity, Maine The DNK Select 250 is scheduled for Sunday, June 13 at Maines Toughest racing Oval, Unity Raceway, and the $25,000-to-win PASS-sanctioned Pro Stock race is sure to have a few tough guys in the field.  One driver who cant wait to get back out on the third-mile track is former Pro Stock track champion Dean Fuller of nearby Albion, Maine.
Fuller is an old school short tracker who refuses to be intimidated, and his aggressiveness has both aided and hindered his racing efforts at various times.  An enforced vacation from Unity Raceway competition midway through last season has Fuller champing at the bit to get back into action. Fuller will shoot for the 2004 Unity Raceway Maine State Lottery Pro Stock championship, and for the top prize in the regions best-paying Pro Stock race.
Neither task will be easy, as a strong contingent of familiar faces to Unity competition are expected to contend, along with a host of invaders. Jeff Burgess of Oakland is one of the top threats to keep the 25 grand in Central Maine. Burgess, a Pro Stock winner at both Unity and Wiscasset last season with lots of experience on the unique Unity racetrack, is a two-time winner of the annual Longjohn 150 at Unity Raceway, and certainly should contend for the $25,000 top prize.
Other Unity Raceway regulars already signing on for the PASS DNK Select 250 include Scott Albee of Norridgewock, Craig Anderson of South China, George Fernald of Benton, Dana Strout of Benton and Randy Turner of Freedom. Defending track champion Matt Lee of Albion has yet to file an entry, but it appears he expects to be in the field on June 13.
Maine racing legend Ralph Nason of Unity tops a list of over thirty other early entries for the DNK Select 250. Other early entries include Cherryfield, Maine native Andy Santerre, the Aubuchon Hardware-sponsored driver seeking his third straight NASCAR Busch North Series championship during the 2004 campaign, and Ben Rowe, the two-time and defending Pro All Stars Series champion, and the winner of the 150-lap PASS race at Unity Raceway last season.
Former NASCAR National Champion Ted Christopher of Plainville, Connecticut has inked a DNK Select 250 PASS entry blank, as have regional Pro Stock stars like Sudn Sam Sessions, Scott Mulkern, Scott Chubbuck, Chuck Lachance, Billy Penfold, Johnny Clark, Ricky Rolfe, Duane Seekins, Gary Smith, Andy Shaw, Billy Rodgers, Billy Whorff, Lonnie Sommerville and Big John Phippen.
