Hello all, and thanks for visiting our site. About me huh? I'm never good at these. But I'll give it a shot. First things first. My name is Jeremy Hughes, and I was born and raised in central, AR. I currently live just NE of central, AR with my fiance' Shanna Morgan, and our son, Hunter Phoenix Hughes. I am 28 years old, and I work in retail. I have been a NASCAR fan for about 9 years now, with my favorite drivers being Ryan Newman and Scott Riggs. I served in the Army for five years as a telecommunications technician, so the troops get alot of support from me. Other than that I'm just a regular, southern fried, 28 year old NASCAR fan.
Well the contest probably originated at the start of last years NASCAR season. I remember trying to get into some NASCAR fantasy leagues and contests and really couldn't find one unless you wanted to put up like twenty bucks. So I figured, why not try and start my own? So I did. Now the income from my retail job does not allow me to be able to just go out and pay someone for a website, and a name. Which is why we are posted at GEOCITIES. And we are one of the best designed geocities sites, according to some people that have e-mailed me (hey, they count too). Anyway, it was my goal to start a fun, and easy contest that surrounded the NASCAR season.
Fun of course. Yes, fun is a big reason we are here, but the main reason is to support the Victory Junction Gang. If you have not heard of the VJG, they are a charity organization that supports children with severe, and life threatening illnesses. We feel that as time passes more people will support our cause and know what it's like to make a difference in the life of a child. My fiance' and I had our first child on the 21st of September, 2005, and we have one on the way. So we love kids. With our current financial situation, we cannot afford to just drop a thousand dollars to a charity. So I figured, why not mix it in with the contest? And that's what we did. Although our contest donation amount isn't that high yet, we feel over time , it will all be worth it. The true value of a donation is not measured by the amount, it is measured by the heart of the person that is giving it.
