I fitted discs to my 957 way back in 1997, and ever since then I have been plauged by fellow riders asking me to make one for their bikes... So eventually I got around to making production versions of my HammerHead disc brake mounts for K2 Pro~Flex 3000,4000,5000, 4500c, 5500c, OzX, OzM , 757, 857, 957, and Animal/ Beast bikes made between 1997 and 1999.
And now we have even made a UniVersal Version of the HammerHead, plus a Front Formula Standard to International Standard adapter for early model forks.

Above are pictures of the production versions of the HammerHead adapters. The Rear adapter is the latest spec and is now Magura Compatable as well as being International Standard. They are strong and robust, whilst weighing a meagre 50 grams (1 3/4 oz).

The picture  on the right is of the UVHH (UniVersal HammerHead).   This is an evolution of the rear HammerHeads and will fit 90% of the bikes out there that have no disc brake mounts.
The UVHH differs from other universal mounts in that it is not Hub Specific. The other brands require you to use thier hub, and when you remove the wheel, the calliper is still connected to the wheel axle.. With our system, the adapter stays in place on the bike, held there by a small bolt that you decide the location of by drilling through the HammerHead adapter and into an existing threaded hole in your frame, usually reserved for rack mounts and fenders.

The HammerHead disc adapter is for international standard callipers, 51mm hole centres and the inside edge is inline with the inside of the dropout this will allow fitment of any currently available disc brake calliper, hydraulic or cable operated (mechanical) and can be used with Hayes Standard callipers in conjuction with Hayes International Standard Adapter.

Prices:
UVHH Universal HammerHead for bikes without mountings is 100 euro
FS-IS Front adapter is 60 euro

97HH for 857, 957, animal and Beast etc. is 60 euro

Note:  Prices in Euros are the benchmark...the dollar price may fluctuate slightly according to the rate of exchange.  You can check today's rate by using  Currency Converter.

The kits come complete with all stainless steel bolts, spacers, fittings and mounting instructions. The price includes shipping to anywhere!.

It took me 15 minutes to mount the first production Oz version to my bike, the '857' version took less than 5 minutes as the mounting holes are already there.
The same applies for the UVHH and the FS-IS.

The kit for the "carbon bikes" the one we call CAHH2K, is more expensive as it includes the correct drill bit and tap to make the threaded attachment holes that are already in the 857 type drop out.

Drilling and tapping the holes may be a bit worrying for those of you who are not of an engineering background, if this is the case get a local workshop to do it for you, it won't take them more than 15 minutes and this should be reflected in what they charge you for doing so. However, I must say that fitting new V-brake pads is far more of a challenge ! (Click here to view a drilled Oz dropout )

It is however easy and foolproof even if you have never done this sort of thing before, as long as you are careful and follow the instructions.
