| supporting role mezzo A# - high F Cinderella's Stepmother is an awful lady who has her own two awful daughters. Cinders is made to clean the house and is mostly kept as a housekeeper. The stepmother has also manipulated Cinderella's father to think the way that she does. She refuses to let Cinderella go to the Kings fesival even after bribing her to pick lentals out of the fire. She wishes that her daughters will end up with the Prince but the efforts are unsuccsessful so when the Prince weds Cinderella at the end of Act 1 she sucks up an tries to stay good with the prince. She is very wanting of the Prince, she even goes to such lengths as to cut off her daughters toes and heels to fit into the slipper. However, when the giant comes, they are too afraid to stay and flee to a hidden kingdom! "Some people are cut out to battle giants, others are not, I simply don't have the constatution." |
