| leading mezzo G - high F The baker's wife is very determined to have a child. She blames the witch for this not being possible. She wants to be treated right by her husband and also included in all of the finding of the secret ingredents to have a child. He says no, so she secretly goes along and manages to help. she is pregnant by the end of Act 1, and has a child by the beginning of Act 2. Her family and her, are forced into the woods by the giantess in the second act and comes across Cinderella's prince, they manage to have a seductive time, not long after this, when she is in a hurry to get back to her husband she is tragically crushed by the giantess. Jack buried her in a footprint. She appears as a ghost later on to lead the Baker in how to care for their child. "Have a child for warmth and a baker for bread and a prince for whatever!" |
