| Supporting Role Tenor A - high G Jack and his Mother live in a poor shack with Jack's beloved "pet cow", Milky- White. They are so short of money that Jack is forced to sell his beloved cow in exchange for magic beans. His mother throws the beans away and hence-forth comes a beanstalk. He journeys up the beanstalk to discover giants, who he steals from, gold, hen that lays golden eggs, and a golden harp. In Act II Jack and his Mother become very wealthy. He kills a male giant, whose enraged wife comes down to try and avenge his wifes death by killing Jack. Jack manages to kill this giant as well and ends up going to live with Cinderella, The Baker, and Little Red Riding Hood. |
