Unfortunately Apophis died from the torture after being held and treated by the SGC�s doctors. For a short while after Apophis himself died his host was alive and talked to Daniel Jackson in Ancient Egyptian. But his host died also. And the whole world was thrown into grief as Teal�c sent Apophis�s body into the Stargate to Sokar who had been attacking SGC�s stargate in search of Apophis. Sadly, we also learned that Sokar had a sarcophagus, which gave life to Goa�uld, and was capable of bringing Apophis back and torturing him again if he so wished.
And that�s exactly what he did. Apophis escaped Sokar and arrived at Netu, a planet filled with prisons and fire. Apophis lived under the name Na'onak where he served as first prime for another system lord. Consequently SG1 was also on that planet on a rescue mission concerning Sam�s father.
Apophis killed the system lord he served and captured SG1. He then made an agreement to Sokar that he knew where the Tau�ri�s allies, the Tok�ra, base was.
When Sokar allowed Apophis to come aboard his ship Apophis tried to kill Sokar and failed. However, SG1 was able to escape and blew up the entire planet which also killed Sokar. But luckily Apophis survived and gained control of Sokar�s fleet.
His fleet was blown up after trying to attack the Tok�ra and yet Apophis survived. But unfortunately his ship was overrun by replicators and Apophis�s ship hit Delmark and he was finally dead. For Good.
