| It rained most of the day today but when we were driving to Rock Hill to pick David up from work today the sky just like opened up and we saw this amazing sunset and beautiful clouds and a rainbow that was about 5 inches wide if you put your hand up to it!!(that's pretty wide for a rainbow that is like far off in the distance...right?! right.) it was so beautiful!!! wow! I was thinking about when God made the first rainbow after the flood to show noah and his family that He would never flood the whole earth again and destroy it. and as i looked @ that rainbow it struck me how awesome it was and how anything as beautiful as that had to come straight from God. He revealed some of heaven's glory to noah and He does to us in every rainbow. I wish that we would see His majesty and His control over the earth in every rainbow that He graces us with. For a Christian, it reminds us of another promise that He has given us. The promise that His Son's death on the cross is eternal and has saved us from our sins because we have put our trust in Him!!! In the old testament God promised to keep the earth from the temporary wrath that He has against sin by a sign of a rainbow coming down to earth, but with His own Son coming to earth (so much more beautiful than colors in the sky that are afar off and can never be attained is His Son whose Spirit endwells every believer.!!!!!) He has spared those who will believe on Him from His eternal wrath which is certain and terrible. I am so glad that He has saved me! and that He died for me!!!!!! I am so blessed. I hope that you are blessed in that aspect too! |
