For sure! So I had some good time last night to talk to my Savior and this morning to read from His amazing love letter to me!!!!!! (I was kinda falling asleep @ first though, I will admit! lol....maybe i'm gonna have to be a coffee person or something...I was REALLY tired from this weekend though still! lol! it was the BOMB!
Hello! It's Thursday. i never did type that thing about my life...but I do want to put something on here about HCBC this bast weekend!!! it was soo fun! But anyways...yesterday I had the nursery again with Kristin and Kathleen. It was so fun. I thought that Kathleen was going to be all crying and stuff because she was really tired when her dad brought her in there and she looked a little irritated, but when he left, she was fine. We had a great time! Little Caleb was back in there too, but Mrs. B. came back there w/him b/c I don't think that I could handle an infant wih those two CRAZY girls...something bad would happen if it was just me and those 3!! lol. for real!
So anyways...I came to school and after a long headache-inducing computer class learning and helping people learn Microsoft Access, I came out here into the computer lab and did my schoolwork. Sarah and I then went to the mall, which was so fun! She got some cute pants and...yeah..it was fun. Then we went to Chili's and ate @ like 4. They's got's some goooood fries ova der @ chili's! woo! And THEN we came back here and here I am, after emailing a friend of mine about some issues that were clogging up my head and making me feel bad, writing in this journal thingie.YAY! When Sarah gets out of her Psychology class, we're going somewhere with her boyfriend, Brandon. So finally get to meet the boy who has like totally taken my sister by storm! He sounds like he is the bomb, though! for real. From what Sarah has told me, he is totally focused on the Lord and serving Him and He is just his everything! that's awesome! I mean for real! THAT's the kinda guy ya wanna marry! uh!...you go girl!
So yeah...i hope it's not to weird meeting him. He IS my brother in Christ. I know that already so, hey! Last night I went out on the dock with my fleece hat and mittens (b/c brrrr it was like 40º or something! haha! and I was all like counting the stars and praying and I LOOOOOVVVEEEE that!!!!!!! I love Jesus!!! He is so big and so wonderful and so good to me all of the time and so many times I don't even thank Him!!! ahh! how awful. I am bad. I cannot do anything on my own. Even what I want to do...it's that whole Romans 7 thing! haha! for real. Sometimes it can be hard to give it all to the Lord to control because of my whole sef-control-wanting self!!! ahh! But I know that He is able to anything! Even through a weak, broken vessel like me!!!! That is so exciting! b/c I totally want to be used by Him in everything that He has for me!!!! and His strength is made perfect in weakness. the key for me is humility. whew..there's a word for ya! sometimes humility comes pretty easily for me, but sometimes (and I'm sure you, whoever you are, feel it too b/c you ARE human) my pride wants to get the best of me. grr. pride pride pride. it's so evil.
I love Hickory Cove! Everyone there is so precious and they all care so much about how your relationship with the Lord is and whether you are saved and growing in Him!!! it's so wonderful! Everytime I go there I can see with such clarity the work that is being done there for the kids and also for the parents of the kids and the staff!!!!!! it's so great. This weekend I had 4 great campers! they were a little wild...I HAVE to say, but they were so much fun!!! We had some really good devotions and even though it was only a weekend, I feel like I got to know them as well as the time allowed! They're some GREAT kids! I really hope that all of them come back this summer or maybe even in the spring. I was wishing the whole weekend that it could be a week long or atleast longer than it was because it was so great! We were studying "God's Amazing Kids" meaning we went over the lives of Miriam, Samuel, Daniel, and Esther during the weekend. Rachel N. and I did devotions together b/c we were the only ones staying in the gym (yes, we had to stay in rooms in the gym b/c the dorms were full!) and we each had only 4 girls! it was really good. we talked about 1 Tim. 4:12 the first night and the second after the BIG BON FIRE (hehe!) we talked about salvation and we gave our testimonies (those who wanted to) it all went wonderfully and I'm hoping to see them all again, but I'm not sure that one of my campers was saved. And we didn't go extremely deep in the devotions so it was like I didn't want to corner her because I didn't know her that well and I didn'd know how she would react, but now i feel reallu bad for not just being like "hey ______ can I talk to you?" and just ask her about what she believes and tell her about Jesus." I mean, I feal bad about it, but it was kinda a situation where I think she would be offended and might like resent me or not come back to camp to "accusing" her of not being "saved". I asked her if she was coming back in the summer and she was like, "I don't know...." so I SO hope that she does, but I hope more than that, that the Lord will change her heart and use something to turn her around and bring her to Him. If she does come in the summer, she WILL be a handful!!!! ah, yes. She sure will, she totally would NOT listen to me, but I love her and I am PRaying for her soul every day. -rachel ><>
