I went to see the Gipsy Kings perform tonight at Wolf Trap. I had never heard of them before but decided to go check them out anyway (and I couldnt possibly turn down BaeWhacks invitation). First of all, Ive fallen in love. With Wolf Trap itself. The setting alone is gorgeous. An outdoor amphitheater and park dedicated to performing arts. Over 5,000 people covered the green lawns tonight, munching on dinner, toasting their wine glasses, and enjoying each others company. And when the music started, people got up and danced.

The Gipsy Kings themselves are amazing performers. Their shows supposedly sell out every time they come to Wolf Trap (like tonight. And keep in mind, it's the middle of the week). But I can see why. Theyre a crowd pleaser, despite the fact none of their songs are in English. Goes to show you music is indeed a universal language. The sound of the Gipsy Kings flows right through your body. You cant help but dance. An elderly couple in front of our spot on the lawn danced away as though they were still in their youth. It was the most adorable sight Ive seen in a long time.

When youre in a crowd of thousands of jovial people, dancing and laughing like that, you almost wish every day could be like this. Id like to believe this is what heaven will be like.

Thank you for a wonderful evening, BaeWhack. =)

P.S. A million thank you's to Stuart Lee for the new illustration you see over there to the left! S2 is an extremely talented fellow and is just a great guy overall to work with. =)
