This meal is to be served in seven courses, by slaves, to our honored guests - who shall (health and comfort permitting) dine in the traditional manner upon cushions and with their fingers. Rosewater will be used in the hand-washing ritual between course. Entertainments are planned for our guests' delight during all courses, including poetry, song, storytelling, dancing, etc. Hereinafter is a tentative menu for the Feast. The actual menu may vary, based upon guests' health and comfort requirements and upon the dark designs of the staff of the Caliph's Forbidden Kitchen.

Drinks will include your choice of water, punch, tea, or really strong sweet coffee. Raki (anisette liqueur) will be served separately. B'stillah (chicken and grain cooked in a sweet pastry shell) and Moroccan salad are really a headache to prepare, so they're not on the menu. Rahadlakum (the Turkish "soother of the throat") will not be served, because your Host has tried this obnoxious candy and really doesn't like it, Howard Keel's "Kismet" notwithstanding. So there. Entertainment is still in the planning stages, but we have the following general ideas:
