Colorado Trip
Over the Fourth of July, we drove to southern Colorado and went camping at the San Isabel National Forest and the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. 

We ended up climbing almost to the top of the Spanish Peak, but we had to head back below the treeline when a thunderstorm formed.  These are some of the incredible views we had along the way.
The Sand Dunes are really interesting, but they were having an exceptionally dry year, so the occasional creek was not flowing even though it rained while we were there.  Still, it was fun to play on the dunes, and the recent rain made them a little easier to climb.  The picture below left shows the dunes with the Sangre de Christo Mountains in the background.
Matt ran down before me, so I shot this picture of him.  He's the little speck on the crest down below.
