Appearance

Sophian Kemennaur. A mage. An artist. A lover and a fighter.

This 28-year-old beauty is slender, almost fragile-looking, dressed casually in a forest green, longsleeve t-shirt that serves to bring out his eyes, and a pair of blue jeans that hugs his body just tightly enough to be flattering. His feet are clad in a pair of fashionable, dark gray, suede boots.

A pair of expressive, misty green eyes smile, half-hidden behind fluffy bangs of silver hair. This hair, the color of stars and moonlight, falls to his slim shoulders, fairly glowing when the light hits it just right. A pair of delicately pointed ears -- evidence of his half-elven blood -- are nearly covered by the near-glowing waves.

Around his throat is a necklace, a beautiful piece of polished hematite surrounded by strands of silver. The Celtic symbol for eternity is engraved onto the stone itself. On his left ring finger is a wedding ring, a solid band of hematite engraved flowing Elvish script that reads "Ciaran ar' Sophian Kemennaur - Mela Oira - Yenearsira, 2002." This ring has a twin, like it in always except its substance, which is rich garnet.

History

Sophian Coeur is the only son of an elven noble and his human wife. His father adored him, but his mother resented him. His parents' marriage had been arranged, and she hated being married to an elf. Sophian's father died when the boy was only four, and to try and erase any memory that Sophian was part elf, she cut off his eartips, making him appear human.

Soon after this, Sophian's mother remarried to a human man with two sons from a previous marriage, both of them older than Sophian. The young half-elf was shunted to the side, virtually ignored by his mother, step-father, and step-brothers.

Left alone by his family, Sophian threw himself into his education. By the age of ten, he was a master flute-player, and at fifteen, he was an accomplished mage. His talent and his beauty allowed him entrance to many of the elite circles of his home colony, right under his family's nose. This association indirectly led him to meet a pair of Jump Hunters, the elf Ciaran Kemennaur and his partner, the anthro-fox DeLeena. It was love at first sight for Sophian, and after a few months (in which Ciaran finally caught on to Sophian's feelings, and his own), the half-elven Mage and the elven Hunter became engaged. They were married on December 22, 2002.

Family

Sophian has a rather extended family. Of course, there is his elven father (deceased), his human mother, his step-father, and two older step-brothers. However, since leaving home, he keeps no contact with his blood relatives.

Nowadays, Sophian's family consists of his fiance, Ciaran Kemmenaur, and Ciaran's cousin, Veritas Royatanka, as well as Veritas' husband, Kit. He is also close to the rest of Ciaran's Hunter team, Deacon, Tanebrin, Baeren, and DeLeena (deceased).

The last members of his family are the newest editions, a Rottweiler puppy he named Bruce, and an Abyssinian kitten named Ruger.
