RACHAEL'S DREAM ROLES

This page is about possible roles that Rachael could play.

Lois Lane (Bianca) in 'Kiss Me Kate'

This role, played by Ann Miller in the movie, would be a great role for Rachael. It has some great songs ('Too Darn Hot,' 'Why Can't You Behave?' and 'I'm Always True to You In My Fashion.') Anthony Warlow said in an article (ABC 24 Hours Magazine December 2000) that that was one show he was looking at in the future with producer John Frost, of whom Rachael has been working with in 'The Sound of Music.' So it could be a possibility for the future.

Peggy Sawyer in '42nd Street'

This role would be perfect for Rachael. It's a show where you she can use her amazing abilities to sing, act and tap dance. She has some fantastic songs, such as 'Young and Healthy,' 'Go Into Your Dance' and many other fabulous songs. It has just been revived on Broadway (2001), so it could possibly make a return to Australia.

Nellie Forbush in 'South Pacific'

This is another role, which would be perfect for Rachael. This is a brilliant show, with some brilliant songs for Rachael to sing. These include 'Honey Bun,' 'A Wonderful Guy,' 'A Cock-Eyed Optimist' and others. Another show she could star opposite Anthony Warlow with.

Millie in 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'

This role would be perfect for Rachael, playing the role Julie Andrews played in the movie. The music, dancing, acting and the time period is perfect for Rachael to show off all her brilliant abilities. It's opened this year in Broadway, so when it comes to Australia, Rachael should play the role.

Polly in 'The Boyfriend'

This show is a perfect show for Rachael. She gets some brilliant songs and it is a brilliant show. Since I believe it is the only show that hasn't been revived in Australia (and should be), I think it's about time it does.
