This is probably my favorite picture. It's me with my 3 best friends (left to right) Nicole, Katy, and Jennifer. I was really excited to get this picture taken, because I wanted one of just the four of us. Thanks Matt for taking it! (I gave Matt my camera several times during the night for him to take a picture with me in it.) |

This is Will. He's in my english class, and he's really sweet. Incase you didn't hear the whole story, I asked him to the prom, but he thought he was going to be out of town that weekend, so he said he probably couldn't go, so I asked Matt, and that worked out. Then it turned out that Will could in fact go, so he got me a corsage.
Notice the silver nailpolish- his sisters put it on his nails, and THEN informed him that they were out of nail polish remover. oops! |

OK, call me a dork- i really did take a picture of the decorations. But they were pretty. At the end of the evening, they said we could take the decorations home with us, so i took 3 balloons tied to a bag of sand, a big purple candle, and a little purple candle in an ugly white candleholder with seashells on the sides of it. well, i was on the prom comittee, and eaven and i put in more time on it than everyone else put together. we went to the prom meetings every week, we went to the boat open house, we went to the yard sale, and the car wash. we went to the 2 alchohol prevention meetings, since we wrote up a grant proposal and got 1200 bucks (the maximum they were giving out) for the prom. so anyway, i deserved the damn decorations that i took. and if _I_ had had my way, we would have ordered cute little tea light candles and cute little candle holders, small ones, that said 'beacon prom 99' on them, but no one else liked that idea. they wanted to get butt ugly gold keychains with boats on them. but then it turned out that the catologue couldn't promise to deliver them by the prom, so we did neither. instead we did little things of bubbles with ribbons tied around them.
Update: this year, everyoen still watned those ugly boat keychians. i wanted the slightly champaigne-y-ish glasses with a little rose on them, a candle in them, that said "beacon prom 00". but this being a sped school, they wouldn't allow the reference to drugs and alcohol. so i wanted the same tea light candle thing i wanted last year. but no, that got voted down, by morons who prefered the boat keychain. them it turned out we coudln't write anything on the back of the boat keychain, so we ordered keychains wtih like, buildings on them. literally. oh well, better than the ugly boat keychains. |
