Race Day arrives...
Well, the first night out was um interesting to say the least lol.
Glenn's 'Pit Crew' which was um, me did NOT check the buckle on the hood after GLENN worked under the hood. Sooooo....
around the track he went WITH the HOOD UP!! :P
He managed to go all the way around and into the pit safely thank God!!
How the heck was I to know about the hood - I'm new, hellooo!?!?
So there he was, in the pit lane in the centre of the track with the hood not only up, but bent as well...what does he do? He gets out, sticks his prosthetic arm in the gap and proceeds to bend the hood back down!!! To those in the stands it MUST have been a sight...this guy slamming the hood on his arm!
First thing on 'To Do/Change' List...forget the buckles get pins!!
It wasn't long before the car got its first 'boo'...
And Glenn's first test of patience at the track.
He was spun on the FIRST lap in the FIRST turn of the FIRST heat!
He was soooooooo NOT thrilled lol!
The other driver came over to apologize immediately after the race and all was well - We love ya Jack ;) you're a real Scouter!
NOW, however, when he got his first 'tire donut' on the door - he was VERY PROUD!!! lol
